I just turned down a job offer

Why, in this economy?

I'd always heard that I really don't want to work for that company (I did drop my resume off at a recent job fair) and I DEFINITELY don't want to work at a place that obviously didn't read anything on that resume except for my name and phone number.

My daughter was contacted for a job interview after she answered an add , I did a little research LOL , it seems the " Company " does Face To Face Sales .
Back in the day ( to quote everyone else ) we use to call it Door to Door Sales .
Bandit
Ps
The Interview was 4 to 6 Hours of selling door to door with a sales trainer ( UNPAID ) according to all the negative reviews , it was fun listening to the recruiter squirm as she asked her questions .

In addition, one rule people should keep in mind regarding want ads is that they should avoid answering an ad if the company name isn't in it, or if the phone number is inactive.

Ah, not here yet. We have an insurance company that requires you to buy a license, a certain computer and a couple of other things with your own money, then they will hire you (on commission) and you are _required_ to hire a certain number of people to work under you, which will net you a percentage of their earnings, every certain time period. Can't remember all the details now, but it sure sounded like a pyramid type scam to me...

Only good thing I can say is that they actually admit some of it to make you suspicious enough to Google them
