I was joking that I wanted to get some for my truck, it would start and go left to right first up 4 horses, then 5 cows, then 1 llama, a tom turkey, a bunny, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and then the stick people

I was thinking about getting them, too, but dang, I've got 40 some odd chickens, 2 goats, 2 turkeys, 4 ducks, a dog, and then DH, the kids, and me. We wouldn't be able to see out the back window.

Here in SD, we're kind of behind the times, I had never seen them until we went to visit son in Atlanta a few weeks ago.

I though they were silly, and a bit egotistical to those that have them. Did wonder what someone does if there is a change in family situation.

For the longest time. I thought the decals represented, number of people you had run over. Was I amazed at some of the drivers out there.
Then someone told me that wasn't what it meant.

One keeps those stats on the drivers side front fender. Usually just 1 stick figure with hash marks for the number.

It used to be fish on the back of cars that was the fad. That always was funny when mixed in with the redneck "I'd rather be fishin'" stickers.

The Calvin pizzin images always struck me as odd when the SUV was in a funeral cortege. But I guess some had a change of heart...

(Warning - rant ahead)

The ones that weird me out are the "In memory of (insert name here)" on the back windows of pickups and SUVs in particular.

It is bad enough that people are turning the highways into memorial graveyards (and the state allows it) but now we have to put up with mobile gravestones.

Maybe I'll get one that states "In memory of the time when people had brains and bumper stickers were for Rock City"

Ostentatious expressions of continuing public grief are purely narcissistic and have a side effect of slowing any healing process.

<grumble>

on second thought, maybe I'll just make a sticker that covers it all and says

"Here's yer sign "

At least the fad of grafting fake bag of testicles to rear of car has faded. That was just weird.

Bored commuters (we owe, we owe, we owe, so off to work we go) with the stick figures. They gotta have some hobby in their life and stick figures are best their numbed brains can come up with....

I think we may be related. I've told all my children if they dedicate a car window to me I will haunt them.
What are they dedicating? The car? I live in Mississippi and you cant pass wind without seeing one, most of them are nicknames to make it worse-Bubba, Pap-Paw, Big Daddy Evans, etc. Sorry- nerve struck.
