Pictures around the farm

Took a couple pictures today here at home.

Heres our barn. Chicken coop on the left, pig pen on the right.

Here is our entrance. Found the old school bell that on top in the trash dump here on the property. Have found tons of cool stuff in that dump. Including the two gates on the entrance. Had to put new wood on them. We have the bell rigged to a couple pulleys and a hande hanging down on the side poles so you can ring it. IT is LOUD

Our little house. it was a falling down farmhouse when we bought the place. Its been lots of work.

Our small garden, coming along. We have already harvested brocolli and lettuce, everything else is coming along. Our goats in the background of first pic.

Here is our big baby. Her name is... Big Baby! She is just over two years old and should be 4-5 months bred.

I've really enjoyed your pictures nathan104 and thank you for sharing them. The old dinner bell is what we had on our farm back in the 50s. I got to ring that thing everyday to let the field hands know that dinner was on the table and to come eat. You're right, it is loud.

Beautiful!

I've been looking for a bell like that. They are incredibly expensive to buy. Good for you on finding it free! What a gorgeous place you have. Thanks for sharing!

Very Nice place you have Nathan. I Love all the windows in your house & it looks like a steel roof too, wish I had one of those. Garden looks like a good size & so green for texas too.

Very beautiful and peaceful. I like all the work you did to fix the place up.

Wow, I like it a lot, the barns, the house, the garden, the cow and everything. I scrolled back up to see that you are in Texas. No wonder.

Love the old barn; your place is East Texas all the way. I swear I've seen your house before near LaRue (?).

Lovely all around. If we hadn't moved to MS when my Daddy got sick we would have ended up in East Texas when hubby retired. He's always liked the Longview area.
