another daughter gone to prom! pics...
she was asked by a nice boy from church camp. they were the only ones in lime, and they looked great! it was her first date of any kind, and she had a great time. she turned 15 in january, but this school (his) is so small they allow the freshman and sof's to join in. in fact, the senior class has only 10, and 5 of those are foreign exchange students?!! she had a super time.
her sister did her hair and makeup. she earned her own dress doing work around our place, and sister loaned her necklace and braclet. her dates' home was literally in the backyard of the school, so she put on her nikes to hike over to the school. (which are also lime green, can you guess her favorite color?!) her date was shorter than her and by the time all the kids got there and photos were done, it was time for the grand march, so she never did put on her heels! love it!
again, just so danged proud of my girls.

what's funny here is this gal can flank a calf as good or better than any guy, ropes, rides, and helped build the house. she also hunts and is a crack shot, then can butcher what she shoots, THEN can cook it up into a very savory meal. then can get dolled up for a night on the town! this is called a TP girl--TOTAL PACKAGE!!

What a good looking couple! She is so pretty, and I love her dress and the idea there are lime green Nikes on her feet! Very cute.

What a nice looking couple. I'm amazed that his shirt matched so well.
That dress and the young lady wearing it beautiful! And I totally LOVE the idea of lime green tennis shoes under the dress. She probably is the only girl with shoes on that was comfortable. I bet the rest kicked off their heels once they were at the dance.
And she sounds very amazing.

thank you! my kids are my pride and joy, for certain. well, on the days they aren't acting like evil teenage girls! heheh!!
she had a very good time, tons of fun and I was happy to see a young fella treat a girl with utmost respect and honor. (even when he didn't know i was looking!) she said the after-prom party was a real blast, tons of very fun games. she stayed overnight at her girlfriends house, since it didn't get over til 4:30 am.
this daughter often seems to get the short stick, from no fault of her own, and I was just thrilled that this time, she got the best of it!! but seeing her all dolled up, well, its certain now--I no longer have 'little girls'. *sniff* my babies are growing so fast.

She is so lovely!!! I agree the color is just great.
My granddaughter deliberately wore sneakers to her school dance and made her date wear them also.
It also makes me feel good to hear what a great all around person she is.
