Get a small syringe. Insulin syringes work great! Doesn't matter if it's "recycled". Mix some warm salt water with as much salt as the water will dissolve. Inject the worm with 1ml or 5 units of the salt solution. It'll be dead tomorrow and half hanging out. you can pull it the rest of the way with ease. In a couple of weeks, the spot will be healed.

I took two of them off my rottweiler last summer

I don't know the name of it, but I saw something like that on "Untold Stories of the ER" show. This lady had one in her head and thought she was going crazy. She could feel it and no doctor she went to could see it. The hole/entrance was in her scalp under the hair and everytime they looked, they couldn't see anything.

It is/was a really weird thing!!! Uggh

Known as a wolf, warble... blow fly larva.
We used to treat the holes on our cats by pouring turpentine in the hole back when I was a kid in KY. Killed the larva and you could pull/squeeze it out.

I had a rabbit that came up with something that looked like that once. I put on rubber gloves, pushed the bottom of the lesion and grabbed the wormy thing out when it pushed out the hole a little bit. I never did know what the gross wormy thing was, but Katy (the rabbit) lived until she was over 9.
