Which foreign countries have you been to ...and...
which would you like to visit if given the chance?
I'm not much of a traveler. Generally prefer to stay home, however there are a few places I wouldn't mind seeing...I'd like to see Scotland and Ireland and Italy...How about you?

Over the years, my husband has won several trips from his company. They were to places all around the globe. We never went as we weren't allowed to take the children, and we wouldn't leave them.
I'm too old now, not sure I would go now just from laziness??? Maybe Ireland -
I've only been to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, France, Spain, Portugal, Yugoslavia, the Azores, St. Maarten's, St. Thomas, St. John's, Italy, and England.
If I had the chance to go back (and I will) I'd like to go back to Italy and England.
I haven't been outside of the United States. But my dream is to visit: All of the British Isles, Italy, Australia, Switzerland and I'd like to go to New Mexico. A couple states I'd like to visit that I haven't are Maine & Alaska.
I would go back to them all, but would prefer to travel elsewhere. I found equestrianvacations.com (maybe equitrekkers now?) and I would love to go on some of their excursions. There's one to scotland, where, if I remember correctly, you stay in a castle, ride the moors and have the option of learning falconry! Another is a ride through southern France, through lavender fields and vineyards, staying at inns and sampling the wines.
The "all-inclusive" experience is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a vacation, but you might miss out if you're looking to learn a bit about the real culture of the area in which you're staying. In Belize, I stayed in a condo with some friends, and we joined the locals in the morning for meat pies and fresh juice, shopped daily in the markets, cooked, and took two excursions. Met some great people, and it was a different experience entirely from all inclusive.
I've been to Mexico, England, France, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Holland, Austria, and Italy. I'd go back to any of them. I especially loved Germany and Austria.
I'd love to visit Ireland, Greece, and New Zealand some day. I'll admit, the trip to New Zealand was definitely inspired by the LOTR movies. It looks beautiful.

Lived in Spain for four years and loved it. Didn't get to travel much while I was there, as had young children and it was difficult to schedule vacations around husband's work schedule and their school schedule. Did see Portugal briefly and spent 10 days in Mallorca which was wonderful.
Have been to Canada, of course. Would like to have gone to Mexico before there was so much drug traffic trouble, not now and would have liked to visit Australia. Not young enough now to deal with long distance travel.
Germany, Israel, Scotland, England, Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Canary Islands, Greece, Portugal
If I could go back to any of them it would be Germany, Israel and Scotland. All three were clean and the people were very very nice. Hated france, and people had a tendancy to shoot at me in Iraq and Afghanistan so I will scratch them off my prefered vacation destinations. The places I haven't been that I would like to go to are Holland and Australia
