Bluegrass fans- what's your favorite song?

My husband recently started playing mandolin with a group of people who are into bluegrass music. I recently went along, and had a lot of fun singing harmony with the other ladies there. We plan to get together regularly to sing and play.

What are your favorite bluegrass songs?

I really loved singing In The Pines and Careless Love.

Anything by Dan Tyminski, iiird tyme out, Dave Evans, or the Seldom Scene. I also like the True Gospel Echoes and Bill Monroe. I believe my favorite song may be Wait a Minute.

I went to school with one of the members in that band and the lead singer lives in the county adjoining mine. Small world I suppose. I hear that band broke up. I hope it isn't true.

I have too many favorites, but if I had to pick just one, it would be 'The Old Home Place'.

Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show.
When I'm old and gray, that'll be one of my happy memories; my family singing Wagon Wheel with the radio. Even my kids know the harmonies.

I use to play with a Bluegrass quartet, about 20+ years ago, or so.
We had about 6 different sets. There are so many Bluegrass, Folky & Fiddle tunes. I could not pick one. I love Breakdowns though, and good 3 or 4 part harmonies.
It was fun and we made a little money, too.
