I'm going to see Loretta Lynn in concert!

Dh and I are going to see Loretta Lynn in concert Saturday night!!! I am so excited I love her and I am so glad to get the chance to see a living legend. DH was commenting it should be pretty warm that night and a good coon hunting night. I told him that there would be trouble if he stood me up for coon hunting...divorce papers trouble!

Yes, I was kidding. Usually, he won't go anywhere with me and he coon hunts a couple times a week so he can miss one night!

Anyway, yay! Just had to share

This is the closest she has been to me in a long time. To be brutally honest, I don't know how much longer she will be touring so I HAVE to go! I saw Willie Nelson 4 years ago and it was awesome. I found a video someone put on youtube of her at a concert last year and she sounded just the same

I had the pleasure of meeting her (and Willie) a few years back when I worked in the biz. She is an amazing lady! I wish I had her energy ...

I have high hopes of meeting her I thought positively about meeting Charlie Robison after a concert and I did! He plays mostly in Texas but he was in Columbia MO and I drove 3 hours to see him. There were only about 50 people there so I asked the guitarist if I could meet Charlie. I got on the bus!

We have seen Ms. Loretta in concert and you are in for a treat.

We had tickets w our friends and the 4 of us were in the middle of the second row.

Quite a difference between her and the opening act. The first thing I thought when I saw the opening performer was "Oh my word, they lost her luggage!" But no, she was just one of those performers who thought it perfectly OK to wear ratty jeans, a torn Tshirt, no make-up and a hairdo that looked like she'd licked her finger before she put it in that light socket.

Ms. Loretta wore a ballgown and had hair, makeup and jewelry just perfect. Her band was all dressed very well.

When she first came out she told the audience that if there was a favorite song we wanted to hear to just call it out. That we were the ones who paid to see her.

At one point she stopped a song and asked for the lights to be brought up and she asked the dh of our friends his name...he told her and she said "you look just like our family doctor and I was wondering if you were related to him." When our friend said he wasn't she apologized for stopping the show and started back up again.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did...she did a class act show and really showed respect for her audience.

She was the first celebrity act I ever saw. It was at a rodeo. I must have been around 10.

I never considerd going to a Casino for entertainment, not because its a Casino just I never put the two together. We usually go to Springfield or Branson and I just soon pay for the better seats up front or not go.

Last one we went to was Ted Nugent only because I talked with him a few times mainly on Hunting and do like some of his Music. My wife hated the concert.

We've been to several other but lately can't afford it.Could go on Branson Bell for Show and Dinner because I'm close friends with the Captain but even that has to wait awhile.

Have a good time!
