boy is it warm outside again!

my beautiful snow is now melted, and when I started to play around the yard the mud tried to swallow me whole. so that may have not been a brilliant idea, but I swear you could get a sunburn today! what a strange winter!! I'm sure my cold will return, but right now it's such a beautiful spring day.

I remember last year at this time when most here in the north were half buried alive in snow. crazy, huh?!!

Yup, already 64 here and supposed to hit 67 before day's end. Hard to believe it snowed twice in November!

We're in for high 30's/low 40's thru Tuesday, then down to upper teens for the rest of next week... This time last year, it was -30, so even when next week cools down, I'll take it!

i adore these temps (high 60s, possibly low 70s), but i sure could use a long cold snap to help me get rid of these blasted ants that are trying to invade my house!

When the sun's out the temp is 62 on the gauge, but the weather isn't reporting it that warm; more like high 50s. It's been a really beautiful day but rain chance tomorrow and not as warm.

We're grilling outside for supper tonight.

It's been warm here too, in the 60s. It gets cold at night and supposed to be down in the 50s and possibly 40s next week, but I'm not complaining. No ICE storms means great weather to me!

65 here today, a couple mornings ago it was 7.

Heard on the radio that La Nina ( I think ) and some other crazy word
was causing this. The other word meant the atmosphere was holding
back precipitation and when it unleashes it, look out, lots & lots of
rain or snow over a long period of time.

I live in southern Minnesota and yesterday it was 55, we broke records, today it was in the middle 40's. Any little bit of snow we had was gone before Christmas. The one thing we are worrying about is the lack of moisture.

Yeah, I have that strange feeling too lonelyfarmgirl. What is really strange is the Snowy Owls that RARELY make it as far south as our town, maybe are seen once every couple years....

Well this year, they are LOTS! Even one spotted as far south as Monroe Lake by bloomington! LOTS of eagles too, so...my question is, why have they come south so far this year?! I keep an eye on what our natural critter buddies are doing around here, and this trully is strange for this area. So my question is, what do THEY know that we don't?

there are TONS of acorns here this year. more than i have ever seen, and it is supposed to be mother nature's way of providing for the animals during a harsh winter. i am just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

we did have an over abundance of black walnuts and the apple trees held their fruit very very late. My mom in indy says her irises are sprouting.
