Peachy apple pie

Or appley peach pie. Whichever way you want to put it, it is delicious!!! Used 3 cups peaches and 3 cups apples and the rest to apple pie recipe specs. The inspiration? Both fruits setting in my kitchen and needing to have something done with them.

This begs the question; what strange fruit combo have you tried in a pie? How did it turn out?

I realize I still need to post the blueberry/mulberry pie recipe. Sorry it has taken so long but I couldn't reach it on crutches and when I asked for the recipe box the kids looked at me like I asked for their older 3 headed brother. LOL Frozen berries work quite well for the berry pie.

Nice. I have peaches and apples that ripen at the same exact time. Guess what I'll be trying lol.

I don't know that it's a strange combo but one of our rare childhood treats was a bowl of blueberries and peaches. Mom put powdered sugar over them and let them sit in the fridge for a while. I don't know if you can eat anything tastier on a nice summer evening. I told a friend about it and she now makes it herself. I believe she makes a simple syrup instead.
