cost of LP in your area?

We are finally getting our "summer fill" of LP and it is $1.89 a gallon this year. The winter cap will be $1.96 a gallon.

What is the price in your area?

Very good price Freegal. Our summer fill was 2.69 and pre-pay for the winter was 2.49.

We paid $1.84. But, in order to get that price we quit the rental and bought our own 1,000 tank. This has allowed us to get the best summer price and buy enough for the year.

I think it is $1.79 if you buy it at the cheapest station, Delivered tends to run about $1 a gallon higher than that. $1.89 would be darn cheap if that price includes delivery.

I'm sorry to see such high prices for you all. We try to make our summer fill last until the end of the year but we have supplemental wood heat to help. We might make it until spring on the next fill but not usually.

Yes that price includes delivery but not sales tax.

We were still at like 6% when they came and filled it up early august. Have been looking at getting our own tank, there are a couple places around that have prices more in line of Freegal or Maura.......but, they won't touch a rental tank.

Dryer and stove run on propane, they don't really use alot. The longer we can hold off using the heat system, the better. So far, the weather's been giving the AC a workout. :\

We are in the flea market business, and have been marking old vinyl records for sale this week, which is what I thought you were asking about when I first read your thread title.

Man, I am tired!!!!

If you were wondering, we sell our LP's for $2 to $3 each, a bit more if they are in really nice condition.

LOL.

Oddly my company said price was $3.60 something but I could pay $2.65 if I bought a fixed rate contract for the year, with a rebate of the contract fee. Guess there is some competition? We probably need to buy our own tank.

Around here it's going for $1.99 a gallon. Thank gosh we got a pellet stove in 2007 & finally used the rest of the gas out of our rented 500 gallontank & switched to 2 100 pounders. Much cheaper & no rent on them either.

I am in the Indy area and our contract is for 2.19. Last year we paid 1.89. Retail price with out contract would be 2.99. We will be turning our heat down even lower than last year!

How much does a tank typically hold? How often, if you don't have wood heat, do they usually need to be filled?

We filled up in July for $2.99 a gal. They are now offering a winter lock in price of $2.90. It is not the best price but the high price last winter was $3.69 so I figured I should lock it in. Lucky we dont us a lot, but we do keep the temperature real low.

They no longer do "summer fill" here - said the new district manager put a stop to it.

Either way, the price when last I checked (a couple weeks ago) was $1.89 for cash up front.

They charge over $2 if you use their payment plan. Go figger. They get you to sign up for "X" number of gallons ahead of time, get your name on the contract, and then charge you more for the guaranteed sale.

:shaking head: I don't suppose it would make sense...

Our lock in price is $2.89 a gallon and if we had not locked in (which did cost a lock in fee but not as much as if we had not locked in) the price would have been $4.00 per gallon.
