your best grown-up drink of choice..
first..if you don't ever drink, please don't come on here and get all willy. for those that might like a big people drink once in a while...what do you like? sometimes I'd like a big girl drink...but am pretty clueless. oh sure..I've dabbled in brandy or a spot of rum in winter. but for this season..say you were hanging out on the porch. perfect evening. feeling wild enough to indulge. what might be good? (make it quick...lol...if I get a good idea, I still have time to catch hubs on his way home to stop and buy something!)

A nice glass of wine is always refreshing. Our Savior drank wine, His first miracle involved wine, there is no reason not to enjoy it.

I love my Black Russians!
Also, that Apple Pie Drink with ice is yummy!
An ice cold beer is pretty good on a hot summer day too!

For winter time...A "Nutty Irishman"...That's a double shot of Bailey's and a shot of Frangelico. (Frangelico is hazlenut liqueur). For summertime, try a "snakebite" which is a double shot of whiskey and a shot of peppermint schnapps. I also like a Tom Collins. I like Gin, Lemon, Sevens, too.

I figure if I am going to have an adult beverage, there is no reason why it can't be good for me. So, Cranberry with blueberry, or grape, or apple, or pomegranate (it's my favorite),ice cubes made with apple juice and a good splash or two of vodka. Or I'll go for the sweet tea vodka and either home made tea, lemonade, or the above mentioned juice. Or about once a year I'll have T.M.O.T.H. stop and grab a small bottle of petron and a couple lemons and I have pomegranate on the side. And likely a hangover the next day, hence only once a year.
If it's cold out it's coffee with Baily's, vodka, and Hershey's syrup. It's also delicious iced. Yum.
Think I'll go make one now

An ice cold beer, cold apple pie on the rocks, Frangelico is my newest find....that and Rum Chata. Yum.
For a mixer, I love Cherry Jack, orange juice, pineapple juice with a little Sprite and a splash of Grenadine. Or pineapple juice, coconut rum, midori and a splash of creamer.

Mamita...it's actually a shot, but on the rocks is better! I make my own with apple juice, apple cider, sugar, cinnamon sticks and Everclear. You can Google the recipe, and then peak & tweak it to make it your own.

Lime margarita, tart red wines (not too tart like port or merlot, more like cabernet sauvignon), and most sparkling wines.

Mamita - that Frangelico mentioned twice above is a hazelnut liqour, which is heavenly just over ice. Rum Chata tastes just like the left-over milk after a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Baileys with Caramel over ice is yummy too. These are all sweet drinks and fast to pour!

Jim Beam Rye whiskey and diet coke. But pure heaven in a glass (even better in a mason jar) is Tropicana Orange Tangerine juice and Vodka with crushed ice.

mare..this is so funny..I remember once we were out to dinner. hubby saw pina coladas, so he ordered one. it had ice-cream in it, so he was in love. 3 later, I said, "WHOA. THAT DOES HAVE ALCOHOL IN IT, YA KNOW". haha oh, but he thought it was so delish!

Yellow Tail Shiraz, or any good Shiraz. Not too dry, not too sweet. Yellow Tail is very good and not expensive. Merlot would also be a good choice, its a little more fruity.

I really like a shot of scotch every now and again, but only the good stuff. Life is too short to waste on cheap scotch.
I do love crantinis... but they get me in so much trouble...
