Visitor this morning

I saw her swim over to our side of the river but I guess she was offended by the sight of me in my jammies on the porch with my camera, because she hid for a few minutes, peering out at me.

I guess she was pretty miffed because she turned around, returned to the other side and melted into the forest.

You disturbed her bath. What does a moose have to do for some privacy, anyway?! Wonderful photos!

Great pics . My father-in-law went to Canada a few years ago on a moose hunting trip . He shot one & shipped the meat home . Most family members didn't care much for it but I thought it was great . Tasted to me like a real good grade of beef . I'd buy an extra freezer just to put the meat in if I had it . Does anyone in your family hunt ?

I think Lisa has managed to get some pretty good pictures of visitors to her river. I've seen some she took of a grizzly at the river one year. She is in a very beautiful deep wilderness area.

We see lots of deer, elk and moose frequently. Somehow we never get tired of the moose. Even when they knock down gates and fences and spook the horses. The predators steer clear these days because of the dogs (great pyr) but we see bears fairly frequently and hear wolves every once in a while.

We take a deer every once in a while but never moose. I don't think we have the heart, unless of course, we were hungry. It's fairly hard to get a moose tag anyway.
