Kids,So Precious They Are,

And it dosen't take much to make them HappyI remember one time we bought our little boys a toy that came in a big box. They had more fun playing with the box, than the toy that came in it.Us grownups need to learn a few things from our little ones, to help prepare us for Heaven.

Matthew 18

1At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

We're at that stage with ours where he's turning from a baby to a boy. Lots of tears and wailing over the setting/firming of boundaries, and sometimes even the kid gets upset.

Love him for all the world. Verrrrrry glad he is asleep at the moment.

Oh, and I was absolutely blindsided today. He has always slept with us, but now is nearing three so we are all ready to shift him. Today, we went out to buy him a bed. How many of you already know where I am going with this?

I started out all "Hurray, your very own bed! We'll get a cool blanket, set your room up, you'll love it!" Excited to make my little boy's room into a nice place for him to sleep, thinking of decorating possibilities and color schemes.

Looking at beds- *sniff* " But, but, but... I'm not ready for him to grow up..."

I had to leave. the. store. and go get myself together on the porch for awhile.

For crying out loud. He's not even three. It's a bed. A. BED.

Watching him play with babies is so odd. Really, I didn't realize how much he'd grown until this weekend, seeing him play with a few fifteen month olds and hearing "Come on, baby! Watch Nemo! Play cars?"

Bawl.

I haven't followed the link....but what I'd give to have my little one want to play in a 'house' again that I made from a dishwasher box...and she is just 10 now.

That little one of mine is growing up faster than I care to admit.
