I thought I was having a bad night then...

I ended up helping someone in need that helped me...there is a reason for everything...sometimes you dont always see it right away and sometimes you do.

My preggie daughter wanted to go to town for some supplies..so we decided...her, myself and 17 SS..would all go.

got there around 7 pm figured I would be home in time to put up sheep before dark. Got done shopping around 7:30 pm....got into truck and turned key...and light started flashing..."oh no!!!...Now at this particular store the parking lot is always..full with really big trucks with tool boxes. But not last night....nope not one in site. Also I just paid off my truck last month...~just to throw that in there~...and I have no tools....(shame on me). soooooo....found someone with jumper cables.....they loaned them to me...but would not jump my truck..sooooo...found a nice couple to jump me.....but my truck would not turn over....battery cell died ...sooooo....couple left....returned cables to other people.....and marched back into store....bought a cheap set of wrenches...went back to the automotive dept...bought their LAST battery that worked in my truck....headed to the check out....."cashier: you know you need your old battery for the core charge?".....Me:...Yes I know...but I need these wrenches to get it out inorder to give to you...i am stranded in your parking lot"....soooooo....I parked the basket with the new battery next to the clerk...to save for me..."because it is the last one"....used bank debit card for wrenches and went out to unhook battery....found the right wrench took the negitive off....went to the positive side.....and it doesnt fit...as a matter of fact...none of the wrenches fit!!!.....~deep breath~.....go back into the store and purchase a pair of pliers....go to same cashier...that's holding my battery...and I proceed to purchase with my debit card....and the reader cant read it....~tears~....swipe again....~tears~....and big tear jerker is...I just got paid....and my card will not work....soooooo.....I pull out my farm card to pay for the purchase...and head back out to get that.@!%^*$@^% OUT OF MY TRUCK!!!!......then out of no where an angel appeared with his wife and child and SIL....he offered help....and took over the project...he sent his family into the store to purchase what they were there for. He got my old battery out and I took it back into the store while he waited outside with my family....got the core battery to the SAME cashier...and she tells me.."I'm sorry ma'am...I dont know how to do cores on batteries..and the automotive dept is closed....." I just smiled...and I think I bit my lip and told her fine...i just want to purchase my new battery and will pay the core.
Went back to the parking lot to see my new angel talking to my family and his...he was so excited to help us in our need and the family was so wonderful..and played in the parking lot...finally the deed was done and I started my truck..and everyone clapped and phrased him....and then I slipped him a 20 for being so generious...I wish I had more cash...but "let's just forget about the ATM card"....once I gave thanks and I handed him my jester...of thanks...he said thank you. and turned to his wife and gave her the money and said "here hon go take them diapers back in the store and get the size that fits the baby...we have enough money now".

I lost it....and finally figured out why it happened to me...and why there was no big trucks with tool boxes in the parking lot..and why I had issues for over 2 hrs.

I understand.

Yep. Sometimes happens that way. I was sitting in a parking lot one night waiting on someone and could hear a conversation going now and then. A man had come to pick up his wife from work, he and the kids got out of the car and locked the keys inside. It Was a Ford, after sitting a bit, I got an impulse, walked down and saw it was a Ford, stuck my key in the door and it worked, pulled the key out and circled the vehicle and went back to mine. Heard the woman on the phone saying something about an angel with a key just unlocked the door.

You got me crying too. Great story. Yes, God is always in control. But, it's so hard to see that sometimes. Ed, I loved your story too. It reminds me of one.

I was in the hospital, I had had gall bladder surgery, (back when you had to be in for several days). I got several flower arrangements from family and Church. The last night I was there this little lady was put in the other bed. Her family didn't have money. The husband said something about going down to the mcdonald's to get the kids something cheap for their supper. The woman went down to the waiting room with the kids while hubby went and got the food. While they were out of the room, I asked the nurse for a pen and I took one of my flower baskets and wrote on a piece of paper, "Get well, and remember that Jesus loves you." The nurse put the flowers on her little table and shut the curtain between us. Later I heard them come back in the room. She was so touched, and they were all wondering who their angel was. It made me feel good to help someone else.

I'm now taking care of my 90yr. old father in law and he's a handfull at times. I'm getting ready to go to the dr. with him. I need to keep remembering that I will be in his shoes someday and asking God to help me to be loving to him. Boy, it's hard sometimes.

Thanks for your story. I loved it.

What an awesome story!
Makes my day to read experiences like that. I try to remember things like this when I lose my patience during challenging life experiences.

Very nice story. One thing I've learned is that no matter how big my problems seem to be,there's always someone worse off,and sometimes we're in the same place at the same time and can help each other.

I believe in angels.....

I'll bet you do too, especially now.

Reminds me of the time, I met an angel. I was very young and taking my 2 year old daughter to a large town to see a orthopedic specialist. I had to go by bus. Didn't know where I was going or how I would find the place. Behind me sat a nice older lady...she used to be a nurse and worked there. She directed me on which bus to take to get there and where to get off. I still wonder what I would have done carrying this child and trying to find one small place in that large city.

I remember when I was 9 moths ready to pop out my second son who is now 6 yrs old. IT was the week before christmas and we were to meet my parent half way for dinner at the chinease buffet place. WE were supposed to meet at 4 pm. Well, we put out last $10 in the tank of our beat up statin wagon and drove to the restaurant. The weather was pretty bad and my parents kept calling us to tell us no matter what the would be there and dinner was opn them. So, we made it to the restaurant and were sitting in the booth with our oldest son who was 5 at the time. We ordered drinks but no food. We waited for about an hour and I was getting orried that they wouldnt show up and we wouldnt be able to pay for our drinks ( I know I should've thought of that before getting them) We aited and aited and just talked with our son while waiting. THere was this old couple probubly in their 70's. They kept smiling and talking to our son while we waited. WHen they got up and left they came over to me and said I hope you do well with the new baby and merry christmas and wadded a $50 bill up in our hand and walked away. IT brought tears to my eyes that someone was so generous. Ot long after my parents showed up and the evening was good. It makes me happy to know there are still nice people in this world. I try to repay it on some way to other people who need help if I can if its not money in other ways.
