Laundry Soap question

I know several of you make your own laundry soap and I have a question about comparison savings.
How much does it cost you per ounce to make your own?

I use Purex Classic powder and it cost me $3 at Dollar General. the box is 94 oz. and it works out to be about 3 cents per oz. I don't know that I could make my own for any cheaper, that's why I'm wondering about the cost of the homemade soap and if it works out where you actually get more for less than what I'm paying.

I was thinking today that I could probably stretch the Purex even further by using less for each load.

Thanks for your feedback. You always help me save time and money on this forum!!
