Question for those with an outdoor wood burner.

We have a Hardy furnace. Love it. Love mostly the super hot water, great for nice hot showers that I don't have to feel guilty about because the water heater isn't doing all the work, laundry, etc. We even use it to fill the pool!

But, we can never keep the fire going in the warmer months to keep the water hot coming into the house. How do you accomplish that? I know the Amish always have smoke rolling out of theirs, but their setup is different as ours is tied into our existing furnace which supplies the forced air. Is there a way to keep the fire going even when the furnace isn't kicking on?

I also have a forced air furnace in the house that I use to blow the heat around that my outdoor wood furnace creates.

I have 2 seperate sets of controls so the outdoor wood furnace can heat the water without the forced air furnace lowing heat in the house during the summer

The forced air furnace is turned on and off by the thermostat in the house. The outdoor wood furnace is controled by the aquastat in the water.
