we now have.......PINK!

I am now auntie to a little girl! it's a big deal here, as we've had only boys for years. oh my....little dresses are already dancing in my head. LOL altho...imagine having nothing but boy cousins! she will either be rough and tumble, holding her own. or...that little girly girl rolling her eyes at their antics. when I heard the news, I said, 'WHAT?? say WHAT??' she'll have to just like driving the tractors like my little men do I guess. or...she can play in the garden house, having high tea with me! can you tell I'm so excited?

look, i know exactly what you mean. i dont have any daughters or grandchildren. a couple of years ago a young couple moved in directly across the street from me. we hit it off immediately. they had their baby girl 16 months ago. you wouldn't believe the stuff i've bought. i can't seem to pass the childrens dept. without going in. i just got back from shopping this morning. lets see what i have for her this time. pulling things out of the bag.. 1 green t-shirt, 1 pink and white t-shirt,3 pairs of pink socks. 1 pair green and yellow socks. 4 pairs panties,1 lilac color dress. i got that at baby gap .then i went to another childrens store and found a white sweater because the dress has really short sleeves. i make my own cards so that's what i'm doing today. i figure they were lucky when they moved next door to me. and i certainly was.i've never been so happy in years. ~Georgia

Five grandsons here. We have pretty much give up on pink. If we ever do get a girl, I can't imagine all the things she will have. Everybody wants to buy girly stuff so bad.

I'm the only daughter in my family and was most decidedly NOT pink growing up. My husband only has one brother. So both my mom and my MIL were clamoring for a girl grandbaby. We didn't find out the sex of ours until the birth. But every single person called the baby "she" throughout the pregnancy. Luckily, they weren't disappointed! I'm now the proud tom-boy mom of the pinkest baby ever! Even I can appreciate it. A new girl cousin was just born and her mom refuses to allow the pink. Ah well, more pink for our baby!!!

Have so much fun with it...just try not to spend too much!

I don't know what all the excitement is about. We raised four daughters, so our first grandson really excited us! I even sewed up some camouflage green all in one diapers for him!
