Well....we survived

Well, our houseguest has gone home. Not, I might add, because we did anything to upset her, but because their flight back was this mornign LOL

We went to rehearsal on Friday evening where DD rehearsed with the rest of the band. Then we were briefly introduced to our guest.

I had done a fair amount to prepare for her visit. I had even cleaned out the car - brushed down the seats, emptied the footwell of assorted work boots etc, cleaned down teh dashboard and interior. It was looking quite smart by our standards.

So we met our guest, went out to the carpark and got in the car. She got in, and I suddenly realised she had a strange look on her face. I thought "what's wrong" and suddenly realised that the windscreen was COVERED in straw. It looked as though it had been parked under a straw rick LOL. I just laughed and said "excuse the car, we keep animals and the giraffe WILL drop straw as she eats"

After that we got on fine - she likes cats so made a big fuss of the house cat. Was very easy to have around, and DD got on like a house on fire with her. And she didn't refuse to touch anythign that had come from my kitchen so she can't have thought we were TOO bad

Yup, the thought of a guest can be a bit nerve rattling, then when the guest relaxes into your environ life is good! So glad you and yours had a nice visit!
