I made a new friend today!
Discovered a new friend living in my garden today. Pleasant sort, but not much of a talker. We chatted a while, but I was carrying the conversation!

Yep, we strongly encourage toady frogs in our garden. Have frog statues, etc. in the garden to make them feel at home.

You have a Tedley Toad in your garden. Good for you!!!
They are so cool even when you pester them by picking them up and they pee on you. I usually can't resist picking them up.
Toads anywhere in the yard are always welcome. I give them as much room as they want or need. Ahh... that is unless I'm picking them up for a good look see. I love toads.
Thanks for sharing the picture. It's a very good one.

A Tedley Toad? Cool...I'll call him Tedley from now on!
The ground there is sandy, not dry.

I was traumatized by a gigantic toad when i was little. To this day, I flip out at the sight of them. LOL. I was hoping you had a lizard friend

Cute photos Minelson! Rocky is one of my favorite dogs and I'm glad to see he and I have something in common...our love of toads!
I've already been out in the garden this morning to say hello to Tedley and introduce him to hubby. I think they're going to be great friends!

Oohh, every summer our yard is full of little hop-toads. I have to watch so carefully when mowing the grass, I brake for toads and even honey-bees in the clover-grass. One day there was even a snake along the fence-line I had to watch out for. It takes me a loonnnngggg time to mow!

We had a lot of toads last summer and one day I slipped on a pair of barn shoes I hadn't put on in a while. Felt something funny and yanked it off! Yep, you guessed it - toads in my shoes. Shook two out of one and one out of the other. Every day after that for a couple of weeks I would have to empty the toads out my shoes before I could put them on. They got the message eventually and moved on, but that was rather odd!
