wooly worms

You know the belief that the hairiness of caterpillars foretells the winter chill.

We have had black woolly caterpillars ALL WINTER!!

What does that mean?

If they are the wolly bear caterpillers my grandma always said that the more black the harder the winter. We had them alot in Michigan, however, I have yet to see one in TX.

I guess all black would mean blizzards/hard winter....hmmm guess they may be on to something.

It means that it is going to really hot this summer, last summer, and all future summers! I bet I can't find one up here.... unless I tied it up for flyfishing.
