kids home from college

I sent my youngest to college this year and thought I would never adjust
to my empty nest..but they are all home from college today and
as rowdy as ever. I am trying to sleep and they are downtstairs with friends
and it is hard not to revert to high school days where I supervised them more ..

When they are at college I don't worry as much but when they are here and go out at night I still worry knowing they are out driving...

How do others deal with kids that are off at school & come home for the holidays..

You NEVER stop worrying. You're a mom and worrying is your job. I have boys that are fathers now and I STILL Worry.

I always give my kids a little dose of 'remember the days?' when they come and treat them like teens at least a couple of times during each visit. I swat hands in cookie dough, tell them to stand up straight and even if they aren't fighting with a sibling - tell them not to fight. We all get a chuckle out of it. (But I also get the message across - go to bed so I can sleep!) Forget trying to stop worrying about them. Upgrade your supervising skills rather than burying them.
