If your symptoms are that extreme you may want to seek medical attention.

Sounds to me like you have some serious circulatory issues.

Often hands get cold, because the core body temprature drops, not because the hands are unprotected. Blood circlulation, slows to the hands, because the body thinks it needs the warmth.

Are you wearing a warm sweater, etc.?

Add cinnamon, ginger and a little bit of hot pepper to your favorite lotion adn rub them with it. The warming spices will really warm your hands and the physical activity of the rubbing will increase circulation as well. (and you'll smell great)

I never knew that, Chickenista. Makes sense though. I may try that the next time I have a flare.

How about trying a pair of those fingerless gloves or a pair of wristwarmers?

I second the idea that if this starts happening regularly, you need to see a doctor.

Raynaud's Phenomenon causes blood vessels to constrict and block blood flow.Look it up,see if your symptoms match.I have it,it's not pleasant.Cold makes my fingers turn white, also vibration even in summer.I avoid weedeaters like the plague, chainsaws too.Steering wheel does it sometimes, winter or summer.Supposedly affects women more than men, about 8% to 5%,respectively.I guess I had to be one of the 5%..see your doctor if this keeps happening, there are vasodilators that can help..

My best friend has Raynaud's. His doc said move south for the winter or lose fingers and toes. We live in Missouri in the summer and south Texas in the winter, but he still struggles. Much below 80, and his hands lose circulation.

I would have to say that you need to seek medical attention for this..Especially if it has happened suddenly....
