Our Anniversary Trip

DH and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary in November. While the weather was still good, we took a trip to Toronto about a week ago. Here's a pic of me near one of the 2 three story tall totem poles at the Royal Ontario Museum. I would have liked to show you pics of the Terra Cotta Army from China but they wouldn't let us take pictures there!

Here's a pic just for Oggie. Those are mummies of birds, an aligator, a lamb, and CATS!!

We also went to Black Creek Pioneer Village. It is restored 1850's village. Here's DH going into the root cellar:

Here are some sheep after the heavy rain we had that day. Notice the Toronto skyline in the background.

The city must have gotten a good price on these wax begonias! They were everywhere!

I will post some more pics in another thread.

The ancient Egyptians believed that, if they could preserve the bodies of cats, perhaps the evil might not seep out after they were dead.

Sadly, that just did not work. Egypt grew weaker and weaker and eventially fell to the Persians at the hands of Alexander the Great.

The Persians, however, did not learn from the Egyptians' mistake and fell in with some fluffy snub-nosed cats who, in addition to being evil are also ugly.
