1 Stick of butter melted in a 9X13 glass baking dish

Sweeten fruit, then pour into dish.

Mix the following:

1 1/4 cups of Milk
1 Cup of Flour
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Pour over fruit/juice mixture.

Bake for around 45 minutes.

It's pretty dang good.

NICKIE <> Did these cherries come from that little tree you set out about 2 years ago? (The one you posted a picture of a while back?) What was the name of that tree, and where did you get it? We want one.

I made the best pie of my life the other day. It was a cherry-blueberry pie that used cherry pie filing, 1 1/2 cups of blueberries, 2 T cornstarch, 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 t cinnamon. Something about the hint of cinnamon with the blueberries and cherries was mmmmmm.

Sweet or sour cherries? I love sour cherries for cherry jelly. That way, we get to enjoy the flavor of cherries all winter long!

I've got 4 lbs in the dehydrator I love 'em in chicken salad (the mayo based sandwich kind).

My mother swears that sour cherries are best for pies and jams. Having lived most of my life in non-cherry-growing country, about the only thing we have access to are sweet cherries; Bings mostly, but Raniers are starting to become more popular.

I wonder how sour cherries would be dehydrated.

I shared some with some work friends...they were amazed anyone could grow thier own cherries. Then they asked how much I sold them for LOL. I said they are not enough to sell, enough for my stuff and to share a little.

This looks really good!

http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/cherry_clafouti/

I have some cherries (store bought) that I'm going to try this with. I'm also going to try to make this with some lavender from my plant. I was looking for lavender recipes when I came across this.
