Hand/finger pain

I've have horrible pain on my right hand in my middle finger that radiates to my palm for a couple of days now. It only hurts when I use it, like pushing or pulling something with it.

Try not pulling or pushing on a farm....

Anyway, I know that I have carpel tunnel in both hands. My left was worse than my right. I wore that brace when I went to bed for awhile. But this is a different pain. Arithritis? Also been having shoulder pain in my right shoulder. I had this before and had ultrasound done on it, and it worked wonders!

A call to my dr. and they have appts. 2-3 weeks away. If it's too bad, go to the ER. And I refuse to do that!

Any ideas? Spring and summer are just to busy to be laid up with this. And it h-u-r-t-s!

Is it possible you jammed your finger? My sports playing teens do this quite frequently, and if I remember right it is something that takes several weeks to 'go away', longer if you bump or re-jam it.

No, I've jammed, stoved and broken fingers before.

This aches and pains, especially if I use it just right. If I keep it clenched in a fist, it feels better.

Have you been weeding a lot?

My middle finger, down by the knuckle, on my right hand has been hurting for a couple of months now. But I have had several weeding jobs that have ranged from 4 to 8 hours at a time, so I know why my hand(s) have been hurting. I have actually started using the electric jar opener, in the kitchen, as I can't open them without creating more pain for myself.

I don't know if my issue is arthritis or not. I won't go to the DR unless I am really sick.

Pain

Is it possible it's triggering? I have than in my hands. But no more, since taking vit B6. If you have Pecans, eat a handful. If pain goes away, that's what it is. W/Pecans, only pain free 4-5 hrs.

mamahen,

I'm not a doctor.

Is your pain muscular, circulatory or in the bone?

My first guess would be tendonitis....ice, rest, and advil can help.

The pain seems to be more muscular, I can feel it moving up the hand.

my friend finds great relief (she does know for certain it's arthritis, tho) with dipping her hands in warm wax. they sell the kits at pharmacies, but they are a bit pricey. it's terrible to have pain in your hands, so I hope it goes away soon!!
