Well, she missed passing it by only a few.. I know it's really hard-I looked up the practice tests... It covers everything--grammar, punctuation, all sorts of math,spelling,sciences.. It takes three hours; some don't finish.. I took college prep way back when and i would have a hard time passing it. She never took all those science and math subjects in high school so she is having a harder time besides it has been a while since she was in high school(about 17 yrs). And, now she has 4 kids and a husband. I guess she can't take the test again til December. That gives us lots of time to cram for it!!!! Thanks for your prayers...

I would encourage her to take some of the general classes that are needed for the nursing program prior to taking the exam again, especially the math ,chem and biology.
It really helps to have some of the classes out of the way before concentrating on the nursing specific classes and can help pass the exam.

Nursing is a great profession ( been one for 30 years). It is well worth the time invested in education.

I'd also suggest that she take some classes at the local junior college. Is T.E.A.S. something required for Ohio? I graduated with my BS in nursing six years ago and didn't have to take that test. I did have to retake science classes and take some other classes to get into the BA in nursing program.

prayers for dd - Countryside Families
Thanks for all your kind words and prayers. DD has been taking all sorts of classes , only a couple at atime due to having 4 kiddos(13,12,5,4 ) and a hubby. She also raises chickens for their meat and eggs and has a huge garden. Maybe it's just as well she didn't pass right now. There will be more time to "study- up" til Dec. The above video is youngest dgd ( the one with Charcot-Marie-Tooth) trying to walk with help from young cousin.. it's like a drunken sailor , but she is giving it her ALL and everybody CHEERED!!! Eldest dgd was confirmed yesterday so we were all partying.
