Brochure Design.

I've been placed with designing a brochure for a service we provide at work. Does anyone know of a good site or some pictures for layout ideas? I love to design, but i'd like inspiration of how to make it attractive and catchy, except alll the designs I get on a google search are way too out there for what the program needs! Oh by the way, it's for an English at Work program. If anyone has some tips or ideas, please let me know!

You might try googling for "Paper Direct, Inc". Pre-internet, when I was putting out a newsletter, I used their products and they had co-ordinated papers which included several types of brochures. As I recall, they had some nice design ideas and if they are on line, which I suspect they are, they might have some of the possibilities on their website.

The Microsoft Web site offers some really good templates for Word and Publisher. Here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/clipart/default.aspx

Paper Direct is also a good source, as mentioned. They have templates you can download that go with the special pre-printed paper, if that's the route you want to go. We used them at my last job and I've used them for my own business.

Better yet, download & install Scribus. It's an open source (free) functional equivalent of Microsoft Publisher.

http://www.scribus.net/

After you install it, Google for Scribus templates. You'll find lots.
