Need dsl or high speed internet info

What is the best deal out there?
How fast does it need to be to watch tv online?

I need to know the best way to save money. I just have dial up right now, and it's $25 a month. And we pay $10 a month for netflix. We do not have cable, and only get a few sorry channels...

I've had Verizon DSL for about 4 years. I started out @ $14.99/mo for a promotional period, then they raised it to $19.99/mo. at the end of the promo. I called and got it reduced back down to $14.99/mo.

Recently had some issues with disconnection and they were very good about giving me a credit on my bill....2 months free!

DSL makes all the difference in the world re: watching videos, etc.

Well if you are going to watch TV and such on line. You want to get around 3Mbps in speed.
Many DSL Providers offer a choice in how fast your connection is and the lower it is the price is lower accordingly.
I am at not the lowest DSL speed which is set at 256 KBps, Up to 6MBs.
But the higher in speed you go the higher the cost is. I am at 1K fine for You tube but have to wait some on TV news with jerking to a stop to "load"
So I would say a middle of the road in speed for watching such things is at 3K~~
There are 4 levels I can choose from the lowest at 256,,,, 1k,,,,,, 3k and the highest at 6K..
So check out what levels are available, and at what price each level is.
