Tattler Reusable Canning Jar Lids

Just thought I'd give you folk a heads up that Tattler has a new web site and the old one doesn't link to it. Might want to bookmark it if you have use for it.

I was looking for them awhile ago and thought they weren't being manufactured anymore. This website says they're back in production. How awesome! I'll have to try them.

There are a couple of threads in the survival forum where people discussed these lids, if you do a search. I bought some from the son of the manufacturer on eBay and really like them. I used them for jam and sauerkraut, and have reused a few of the lids several times. They are supposedly safe for pressure canning, but I've only done water bath canning with them.

Has anyone else out there used these? What's been your experience? Do they discolor over time? Do the gaskets get stiff/brittle? How about pressure canning?

Thanks.

I used them in pressure canning for the lst time last year but have not used them long enough to answer your other questions about discoloring etc.

Check the Preserving the Harvest forum for threads on them. Been discussed there a few times and all favorable.

I give all of the credit to others as I learned about them on these very forums, I merely updated my bookmark and told of the change. I wouldn't have told of them but the comments were favorable.
