Got Snow? (Pics)

We went up to the mine today. Lots of fresh powder, about 3' of new snow! I get frustrated with snow at home, trying to shovel out, plow the drive, feed and water all the animals. You guys know how it is.

It was nice to play in the snow today and just enjoy it.

View up the valley from the end of our drive.

Nothing like a cup of cocoa on a day like this.

Fantastic pictures! The 12.5" we had last week melted away in 2 days. Alas - that's what happens in Texas. One day it snows and the next day it is 60 degrees. It's no wonder we're not all sick down here from the rapid temperature changes!

Glad you got to enjoy a fun day!

Chalk Creek, what kind of camera do you have? Your pictures are so awesome. I can almost smell that cup of hot cocoa!

I know I'm going to regret saying this but I miss the snow. We've had none this year which may sound nice to those who've had too much but it means dry wells this summer and fire danger.
Beautiful pictures- snow simplifies and makes everything beaustiful.

Thank you. It's a Canon Rebel XSI. I love it, it goes everywhere with me.

That's what things look like here, except we've plowed numerous times so we can get in and out. I suppose if we had snowmobiles it would help a lot in the worst weather.

Are you ever going to build a full time home there? Or is it just a vacation location?

Lovely pics. Thanks for sharing them.

We plan to build an off-grid cabin in the future. It's 21 miles from home, so we spend our weekends and most holidays there.
