I don't know why I never used the 'name-your-own-price' feature before. This is the greatest thing!
We're taking a cruise in Feb. out of Tampa and are coming in the night before, so I needed to book a motel/hotel room.
Boy are Tampa hotels expensive this time of year; fleabaggy motels are $75. So after checked a lot of consumer sites and forms regarding Priceline.com's 'name-your-own-price' feature and, finding people are VERY pleased with it, I decided I had nothing to loose, our trips confirmed, so I'd give a whirl.
I just booked the downtown Tampa Hyatt Regency (standard rooms $200+ a night) for $60! This hotel is gorgeous!!!
