Squirrels.. WOw they are everywhere.

Even my house!!! I heard a noise and thought it might be the cat, then i heard it again then a thump sound, I looked over and there sat a squirrel on my half door to the utility door.. I screamed OMG Tiffany (my daughter) we need to get out of here... We ran outside .. Called animal control they were gone for the day, the police said there men weren't trained for that kind of stuff.. and to call an exsterminator.. (sp) Well i waited for DH to come home he went into the house got the thing into the back bedroom opened up the patio door and shooed the thing out, our cat was going crazy luckily nobody got bit.. We think it came in through the chimney. Hope that thing is dumb and forgot how it did that.. DH is going to put something up there to avoid that again.. What an adrenaline rush!! lol

It is a good idea to block off the chimney if squirrels are getting through it. That also means you are losing a lot of your heat out that chimney.

Maybe that squirrel will end up saving you on your heating bill.

Too funny...I love squirrels, but we have had to get them out of our house as well. They now chatter at me from outside. I laugh when I see them walking and running along the cable/phone/electric lines as I drive down the street. We watched one take her baby across the line one day, we kept thinking she would drop it, but she didn't.

Here in Eastern Oklahoma, I have notice an eerie absence of squirrels this year! Usually they are thick as flies, but this year just a couple. I have been wondering.

I would have trapped and ate that fuzzy tailed rat! Not quite as many around here as there was 2 weeks ago.

I heard peanut butter smeared on the trip pan of a live trap is a squirrel magnet. I'm going to try it later this week.

Come on guys. Squirrels can be fun. My two boys keep me amused for hours. Ours could never survive outside as one loses his hair in the fall and the other is about 75 percent blind. They are also spoiled rotten. [URL=http://img203.imageshack.us/i/rascalpede41507.jpg/]Squirrels.. WOw they are everywhere. - Countryside Families[/URLSquirrels.. Down the road, about a mile-and-a-half from here is what is called the Maple Forest. It's on both sides of the road and it is populated by the most half-witted squirrels we've ever seen! It must be in-breeding.

The poor things will play "chicken" with vehicles or run into the middle of the road in front of them and jump back and forth, trying to decide where to go! Of course, the tires win if the driver can't dodge them!

The poor things need some new blood!

Ardie, your squirrels are watching too much tv. They've seen the Geico commercial and expect drivers like me to run into the ditch instead of over their furry peach stealing hides.
