Anyone use countertop paint by Rustoleum?

This is for laminate countertops. Has anyone used this and are you pleased with the results?

How has it performed long term?

Has anyone speckled/sponged with several colors to get a granite type look?

I am sick of the blue and want something more neutral colored.

We have nice oak cabinets but after 11 years of blue countertops, it begins to get old. I'd really rather not have the expense of buying new laminate.

I have never used Rustoleum for countertops. But as a painter, I can tell you that we've had good paints for laminate countertops for over 20 years. They hold up very well for years and years if applied properly.

I would be totally comfortable using the Rustoleum product. Just read the directions about surface preparation and follow them to the letter. It really isn't hard at all. Most folks run into trouble when they try shortcuts! Good luck.

My sister used it to cover ugly pink. She kind of thought "Well if it is Rustoleum....it might work" She used an almond. off-white color and it held up for several years. She is a big cleaner too....she scrubbed them to death and it did not flake or peel off. She loved it. I know she followed the directions to the letter.
