It is a wonder we're not dead! I looked up some stuff and we eat things way after the time the site says they're good. For example, they say one month for bottled picante sauce, and I bet we've eaten it after it has been in the refrigerator 3 or 4 months. I cooked some fresh broccoli that had been in the refrigerator a couple of weeks, and the site says only keep it 3 to 5 days. I'd heard it lost nutritional value over time, but never thought you shouldn't eat it as long as it hadn't turned brown.
