Our heat wave is here....

its been hot here already and today is not going to be any different. High is predicted to be 97......yesterday was supposed to be 96.....at 7:30 last night it was 96 so I'm sure it got hotter. Be glad when cooler weather comes!

Take heart, Ginger! It will be 10* cooler from Wed. on!! I can't wait. After a heatwave like we ahve had 85* feels bearable and almost cool.
Of course, I am getting ready to beat the heat by runing away. Deep, dark WNC mountains and cold, crisp streams and cool, cool, cool nights...here I come!

And before we complain toooo much, let's take aminute to remember the last two summers! If a day went by that my thermometer didn't melt away spiking above 100*-105*-108* and some days even higher I counted it as a banner day.
This summer has been MUCH!!!! cooler. I just can't complain about the heat this year.

Howdy neighbor! Yes it's been awfully hot lately! I can't wait for Fall - I'm not a summer person. I love the garden and wearing shorts but I've given up on not being sweaty all day every day. Or holing up inside in the A/C for most of the day. Ugh.

Jen that is true it is MUCH cooler this year than the last few. I am grateful for that! I guess though I'm just not a summer person either....I absolutely love fall and spring though. No ac or heat needed. I could take 4 seasons of that! And I'm planning cool weather food for Wednesday night! That much of a drop in temps and I really want some pinto beans!

Its hot on this side of NC too. 97-98 which I've seen it hotter, but I just can't take the heat like I used to.Seems like its hard to breath that hot air.If I had to prime one more barn of tobacco,it would be all over for me,and the buzzards would be circling quick. So its the A/c for me till about sunset. I live for the fall, but it sure is taking its time getting here, recon its moving a little slow in this hot weather too. lol eb
