*sigh* stupid stupid me...

Well, as most of ya know im on bed rest...or supposed to be.
Today I was feeln pretty good, the meds were hitting me pretty hard I guess, so I decided "hey! im gona go graze the goats! But!....im gona do it on the Quad, cause im cool like that"

yeah......

Iv never driven a quad before, only dirt bikes...

moms bf showed me a crash course on how to work the darnd thing, so off I go to the pasture!!!

I was having a blast, it didnt hurt my back to bad I let the girls out and was zooming around. I was trying to go up this little hill, and it turned on me and I ended up being swallowed by the black berry bushes....ouch!

I called moms bf, he came out in the golf cart with the pruning shears to cut me out with. Mind you im in the very back of our ten acres....
Long story short, here I am, cut to shreds and swollen because apparently im allergic to the darnd things, and jostled my back too much from the crash!

Im hurting bad, and would feel sorry for myself if it hadent been my stupidity that caused this......

I promise to be good and stay in bed from now on....or at least just the house

That should have been your first clue - it was a "crash course!"

My dd did a similar thing the first - and last- time she drove one of those. Right into a barbed wire fence. She still has the scar on her arm.

Think of it as paying stupid tax. We all pay our share of it, figure out we don't like it and then try to figure out ways to avoid paying it. Sounds like you figured out staying in bed till you're healed up would help you avoid paying that share of it anymore.

Lol! You poor thing. I know how much bed rest sucks, but just ride it out. The more you try to avoid it, the longer you'll need it.

Does a hammock count as bed rest? Sounds like what you need.

i wish I could lay in one, it would kill my back though. I have made our pool count as bed rest. It barely fits three adults but its cool and comfy!!

You're lucky you didn't cripple yourself with the back issues you already have. Be careful.

Yikes! Glad you're ok! People flip those ATVs on themselves all the time, so it's lucky you only got stuck in the stickers.
