name of movie about orphans, grandmother, and huge garden?

I watched this several years ago on tv. It was about some children whose mother had died. Rather than allowing the authorities to take them and place them in separate homes the children ran off to their grandmother's. The problem was that the grandmother didn't really know them, the mother and her had split ways years before. The children manage to find her though and to prove their worth working in her garden, etc. I remember the huge garden that had to be harvested before the rains ruined it. The grandmother had boards down the rows to walk on and gathered tons of vegetables every day. Does anyone remember the name of this movie?
