El Camino- Ranchero

I was just wondering how many folks have seen one of these on the road? I saw three El Camino's and a Ranchero just today. One of the El Camino's was in a car lot for sale. To top it off I also saw a Cadillac Flower car.

I have and also this time of year the car shows start around the country, and so many nice ones at those shows too. In fact just NOW I heard a Burger King ad for our local area that starting every friday Night IS Classic Car Night, and I at least one of those cars will be shown.
My friend in Iowa goes to car shows as he has quite a car to show people. Not many at all ever have seen one much else know what it is.lol
A 1977 Puma GTE. And I will leave it there in case somebody on here knows just what kind of a car that is. Here is a pic of it.

My MIL had a ranchero. That thing was built like a tank which, considering how she drove, was a good thing. It was a1974 model, I think. She also had a 1968 Mustang, scary.

After college I worked a year for a consruction company that had a ranchero for a formans truck. V8, auto & car suspension...the boss sent me in it to pick up a catch basin grate and collar...I managed to turn the bottom lip of the bumper around taking it just a few miles...

Was fun to drive when running for lite parts 'cept it had a company radio so you couldn't hide...

Rancheros and El Caminos not that rare. What I havent seen for long time is one of those old Hudson pickups based on their car chassis.

There are at least three El Caminos in our neighborhood, two are daily drivers and the third is out every weekend.

Ah memories! My first "car" was a 71 Ranchero-351 Cleveland 4bbl. with a Hurst shifted 4 speed and traction-lok 9 inch rear. Of course dual exhaust. Sweet running machine and I hauled lots of stuff with that thing -had the air shocks too. Unfortunately it was also a Pittsylvania rust bucket and I didn't get to run it near long enough.

Also, I saw one of those Hudson trucks last month at the Spring Carlisle swap meet for sale.
