Can you freeze Feta cheese?

I've got a large container of crumbled feta that is nearing its expiration date, and I was wondering if it would freeze well. I know many cheeses are crumbly after freezing, but since this is supposed to be crumbly....any advice?

I've frozen feta before with good results.

Thawing on the counter helps reduce the crumbling of other frozen cheeses. (Watch closely though and refrigerate as soon as thawed.)

It's possible to freeze almost anything, if you get the temperature low enough.

Perhaps the real question is: Can you eat it when it thaws?
