Our own house!!!

We have been renting for the last 3 yrs... an apartment....... But I DREAM of having our own home...... renting is fine right now, we can't afford property in this area.....

Well, seems our landlord recommended us to another landlord friend as a great responsible tenant and they have a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath house about 2 miles from our current location that they offered to us!!!!!! Price is VERY under market due to the fact they can't get good tenants, so we will only have to pay about $30 more a month than we are paying for our apartment!! Who can turn that down????

Currently the house is in full remodel --- new carpet and linoleum, new vinyl windows, new gas furnace, new paint, new woodwork and kitchen cabinets, and new appliances!!!!!!!!!!

It has a nice sized fully fenced back yard, a complete 2 car garage, looks great and is in a VERY nice neighborhood..... (again, only two miles from our current apartment and well within my comfort zone!!) Its on a semi-quiet street and had a new roof about 3 yrs ago!!

Yard needs some serious TLC and I can have a garden!!! And lots of room for my canning supplies and jars!!!

This means no more STAIRS for DH, no more interruptions into our school day from 10+ neighborhood kids each day during the summer...... No more cigarette smoke drifting into my bedroom window at night during the summer from my 3 pack a day neighbor!!! No new WEIRD neighbors, no more strangers, No more APARTMENT living!!! YIPPEEE!!!!

The house will be ready in 45 days... (plenty of time for me to get us packed and ready to go!!)

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO jazzed!!

I can just "see" your smile wrapping alll the way around your face. LOL. Congratulations on your new place. Don't delay packing. Froty-five days seems like a long time, but it will quickly. You don't want to end up with 110 boxes, all marked miscellaneous. LOL

Congratulations! So are you going to continue renting or is this guy letting you buy on contract?

I can't imagine having to move again. The last move nearly killed us, LOL.

Start your seedlings on the apartment windowsills and plant them after the last freeze when you move to the new place.
