Stop Me!!

Anyone else get lost on the recipe websites?

I need to stay away from them! I find more recipes I want to try than I will ever be able to cook/bake for the rest of my life!

I found these a few minutes ago, I am going to make them tomorrow:

http://www.recipezaar.com/Loukoumath...y-Puffs-309156

Of course when I found that recipe, I also found a dozen more recipes I want to try, but I finally forced myself to close my browser before I could find any more.

I spend way way too much time at allrecipes. Your recipe looks great, let us know how it turns out!

I too love to look at a lot of the recipe websites.
I like Cooks.com for the reader posted recipes also.
I have little stacks of notepad with dozens of recipes I have written down and my own folder under favorites with even more I have saved.

I try my best to try at least one new recipe a week. It's a fun hobby I suppose.

Doubtful that I would be of any help. I'm no longer allowed to open a recipe site unless it's for a specific recipe...then I must force myself to close the browser once getting that single thing.

BTW...I tried your Velvetta substitute recipe, Ladycat. It works great. I've also found I like to mix the cheese...half Cheddar and half American.

Yes, I get lost on the recipe sites too! Just yesterday I got this site from one of the boards here Food Time Line/ and was lost there all last night. Especially when I discovered I could read old cookbooks online and get recipes from them. I will be back there today I am sure. I think it's like an online library.

I'm going to try different flavors of cheese and see how they come out.

Ok, I made these with oil instead of substituting applesauce like I usually do, and they are TOO oily! Next time I'll use applesauce.

But I can see why they are called "puffs". A tsp of batter makes a BIG puff by the time it finishes frying, which it fries really fast. These are very easy to make, and very light and fluffy. I sprinkled them with cinnamon-sugar.

ETA: I used 1 1/3 cup ww flour instead of 1 1/2 cup white flour.
