Countryside Families passes Homesteading Today for 1st time!!!

I don't know if anyone else noticed:

The total number of threads and forum posts on Countryside Families has surpassed the total number on the Homesteading forum for the first time ever, I believe.

Total threads on Countryside Families: 19,203
Total posts on Countryside Families: 335,262

Total threads on Homesteading Forums: 19,193
Total posts on Homesteading Forums: 326,438

I have been around since December 1999 or January 2000, (the Lusenet days) and cannot believe how much the overall site has grown.

In fact, I remember when Melissa decided to start the CSF forums on Lusenet. I was dismayed because I truely believed that the new forum would split the HT group, and both internet groups would die out!!!!!!

If you would have told me even as recently as 3 years ago that CSF would pass HT in thread count or in posts, I probably would have said you were crazy!!!!!

Wow...it has been a fun 8 years. Lots and lots of new faces, lots of new ideas and new solutions, lots of learning opportunity. We have also seen some sad days and some down weeks. We have lost some great members; Moopups (Mitch) and Hoot still hold very special places in my life, even though I hadn't ever met either one in real life.

I want to thank Melissa, Chuck, the mods, and the computer folks who have taken care of the site over the years. I also want to thank the "behind the scenes" folks who have worked tirelessly to keep our site up and running, yet have gotten no credit on the board.

Let's keep the forum growing, and continue to love, learn and share with each other!!!!!!

Clove

Thanks for sharing, it has been along time.....who knew where we going, just wanted a forum where we could talk about God and Melissa worked hard to get for us. Thanks to all the hard workers and Chuck for keeping the forums running.

A lot of the reason we have more posts is because I am really, really bad at pruning~ Then every once in a while Dean roars about bandwidth and I beg Chuck to mass-prune for me!!!

I do know what you mean about how this board has grown over the years though. It is far beyoned anything I imagined.
