Help!!
Well I'm at my Inlaws for my wife, her Dad is getting worse.
Her Mom and Brother is here I'm scared to say anything for fear of being double teamed.I said something about the Goverment wanting to raise Gas Taxes .10.Asked if is was State or Federal I told them I took it as Federal because they said both canidates were for it. They they both jumped me and said I was a liar the goverment wouldn't do that.
Kind of scared to be on computer or say anything. But I'll make it walking on pins and needles.

Sounds to me like your wife should be there alone. You dont need the stress and neither does she......

Times like this are NOT the time to bring up anything other than fun memories of the family.
Think of it like treating a wounded animal. Its just as likely to try to bite your face off as it is to try to lick it no matter what you do.

I agree with Watcher. If your FIL is dying, then it is not a good time to bring up controversial subjects or things in the news. Right now, your wife, her mother and siblings are not in the mood to chit chat about news items. Their focus should be on their father/husband, and family.
If I were you, and I am not trying to be cruel here, I would just stick to the computer or quietly watch television in another room, go outside and sit on the porch for the afternoon and have some tea or coffee, read a book, whatever; just don't bring up topics like taxes and governement. Stay quiet and out of the way unless it is to be of help.

Even though you are CORRECT on the matter (Congress is trying to raise the Federal tax on gas and Diesel 10¢ per gallon....), it is probably best that you are just there for your wife. Let them stew in thier own "stewpidity".

Well I didn't bring it up I was just adding in on the coversation.
My FIL passed about 5:30PM.My wife was giving him a little water at the time, she told the Nurse that she thought he was gone,Nurse checked and he had.I really feel,he went peaceably.
At the time my 4 year old Granddaughter was there so I took her in the other room and tried to explain where her Greatgandfather had went. She already had a pretty good idea, just she didn't think of Heaven having Big Houses, just Nice Swings.I thought ok,this is good we'll go with Heaven having Nice Swings and everyone is Happy.
My wife and her Brother has been into it this morning.I guess they are getting it straighten out.Just don't like the way he does my wife but I'm being cool.I guess we are going home sometime tonight.
Thanks for your Prayers Guys.

Please give your wife and family our sympathies.
These next few days are going to be rough, BRP, for everyone and I know you'll be the rock that they can lean on.

Please tell your wife some of us are praying for her and her family's peace and give our condolances. The loss of a loved one is often a raw time, emotionally. I know you will be there for your wife.

I'm so sorry for the lose of your FIL. It's great you are there for your wife. Tell your wife not to pay much attention to her brother. I know it's tough.
Prayers are with you,
jackie
