Ever had a bovine burger?

I'm probably showing my ignorance here, but what is bovine? There's a little burger joint in town named "The Flying Bovine", that we'd never eaten at, so we decided to drop in yesterday. Considering the name, we were thinking of the statement "when pigs fly" and was thinking it would be pork. We were already eating our burger and fries when DH and I got to talking about what they meant by bovine. Then I remembered the menu didn't mention anything about hamburgers. Exactly what did we eat? Whatever it was happened to be good. I really feel stupid.

Which points out how incorrectly named our burgers are.... HAMburgers... NOT made of pig! English is a weird language!

The term 'hamburger' came from Hamburg, Germany, so, you see, it isn't an English term at all, LOL! :baby04:

When we lived in Dundee, Scotland, we got a hamburger at a local shop. It was ham. YUK!

When I was in Belgium we went to a McDonalds. I ordered a quarter-pounder with cheese.
It was dead pig sausage.....
They also have co-ed bathrooms, though....
