Exclamation Taking time off from the forum

This is the first time I've been able to log in in 3 days, even with Knoppix and clearing out all my data and cache. HT simply won't load for me and it won't load on any of our other computers.

I'm taking time off from the forum because it's a pain for me to keep on checking if it works or not. Patience isn't one of my virtues lol!

I'm not big on handing out personal emails but if anyone needs to contact me I post over on the Backwoods forum too. I post mostly under the recipe and frugal parts of the forum.

Who know when this glitch will get fixed but in the mean time everyone have a good and healthy summer!

Katrina

I swear I have had similar thoughts when I get stuck on one thread and can't get off. Or I can't get anything at all except the "cannot display page" page...
I hope you have a good summer too.... be safe and may your garden's bounty bend your table and clutter your countertops!!

I always have a hard time getting on, or gettting that busy server message a lot after they take the HT server down to purge it, or what ever "they" do to it. SOmetimes I can't even log on at all for a few months, HT will only work on 2 of our 4 computers now too since the latest maintenance.

Hmm, are any of you using Internet Explorer, dailup, or Windows Vista? I'm not sure but these 3 may be causing some trouble
I'm on Iceweasel right now and on high speed internet.
I get trouble from the server sometimes, but it's not everytime. I have noticed that if I log in onfrom www.homesteadingtoday.com , I'm not logged in on homesteadingtoday.com unless I login on there too. Maybe this is a cookie error with vBulletin?

I received the same "page can not be displayed" page every time I try to switch pages also. Maybe its telling me also, its time for a break. Summer is here and Lord knows, I do have plenty to do, to keep me busy

Wow, all this time I just thought it was my computer acting up. Glad to know a lot of other people are having the same problem. HT is about the only thing I do except for reading the news headlines on my front page. Therefore I wasn't sure I would have the same problems anywhere else.

Also, I've been thinking of taking the summer off too. With only one of us working there's not much extra money left to have luxeries such as the internet. Main reason I have it now is cause the kids do assigned homework with it. But they are now out for the summer. So I may shut the internet off for about 3 months.
