Rumba Dancing in my Tummy!

It feels like my little one is doing :banana02: in my tummy today. I have less than one week to my due date and she is all sorts of wiggley in my belly. It is freeking out my DH a bit. He can feel body parts, mostly feet, pressing against my belly. It's lots of fun and feels really weird. I think she is going to have her daddys long legs with how far up in my ribs she is kicking. Counting down to the big event....my Due Date is May 1st. Anyone want to place bets on when she will arrive? I am thinking some time between May 1st -3rd.

.
I would say the baby will be born some where between now, and one minute after she is born. That is about as close as I would guess at it

Congratulations ... and I hope and pray everything is ok ! ! !

Aww, what a sweet post! I remember those days, with the baby kicking and thinking ahead to the birth and being able to hold them.

My babies all got very still and quiet the day or so before labor, so I'm guessing this one is just exercising and having fun.

I have a feeling you are a really good guesser

Got your bag packed? Sounds like it could be real soon.

That's a really neat post, MamaVolpe! I certainly you'll post pictures of you and that baby!

I've got a question, is the nursery ready? If it is the baby will be late. If not the baby will be early. I had to set up dd's crib the day after she was born because it wasn't ready (she was a month early). With ds the crib was ready a couple months before he was due (he was 2 weeks late).

We have a small house, 2 bedrooms, and one of our bedrooms is our office so the baby will be staying in our room. That said, our room is all set up, we have a changing table/dresser and I already put together the co-sleeper crib that attaches to the side of our bed. So I guess this little on will be late then huh?

I see you are in Maryland, are you birthing with Evelyn??? She is my midwife. I am so lucky she is willing to travel to Washington Co to do homebirths.

Put me down for May 10, early in the morning. I hope you have an easy delivery. Enjoy these last few days, they will be over all too soon.

Nope, not using her though she does come highly recommended by the many homebirthing mommas I know. We're using a CPM out of Baltimore City for this birth and planning on doing UC for the next ones.

Full moon is on May 20th, and according to all the midwives I've known, that's when all the babies decide to be born.

3 days to due date an no labor signs yet...

Keep guessing, I'll let you all know when she arrives so we can see who is the best guesser.

Mom_Of_Four: Full moon or not I really hope I am not 20 days past my estimated due date...I would be so huge by then. Say when is the New Moon, I have always been on backwards cycles maybe I would go into labor then?

Congratulations and good luck! I'm glad you're enjoying it, but I honestly remember it as kinda uncomfortable when they push under your ribs and on your bladder at the same time etc.. One of mine was what I'd call painful-- my 15 year old bruised my ribs and beat me up from the inside for months before he was born.

Ohhhh... I guess May 12. That is my DD's b-day (I was due May 1st) and May 20 is DS 15's birthday (I was due June 6).
