No crying over spilt milk

one just has to grin and bear it when you have one of those days
Little neighbor boy who I rant about but am trying to be nice to has struck again he came in my side door (WITHOUT KNOCKING AGAIN I MIGHT ADD)( thru the dog pen) so to quickly escape the dogs he slammed the door shut. The Door was accidentally shut on my drapes and one of the dogs tails and he has the handle to the door in his hand, so Dog howling and kids screaming I had to go into the kennel . Tail was only caught by the hair..... Good news cuz I was unable to open the door. so I search the house for the scissors.... Argggghhhhh why do the kids never put them back where they go. find the scissors and put a nice movie on TV for the boys to watch and tell them not to move till I get back inside. go out the back door and start tending to the dog and the door free the dog when.......CRASHHHHHH run inside the house as fast as I can tripping over the cat on my way inside. Get to my feet knocked the wind outta me go inside to find the two bottom shelves of my fridge Glass broken milk (2 gallons) all over my floor . My DS was in the bathroom yelling for me to come and wipe him. and here was the little neighbor boy ( covered in milk)saying I was thirsty so I decided to get some milk.
I restrained Myself from Yelling and instead said IN THIS HOUSE WE ASK AND GET HELP TO GET A DRINK. I then promptly sent him home and now am wondering to myself WHYYYYYY am I a glutton for punishment??? why do I let this boy over here to play????
TODAY HAS BEEN A REALLY BAD COMEDY FOR ME
And DH said "BOYS WILL BE BOYS" which makes it totally worse!!!

Wow, you are way more patient then me. I would be at that poor kids parents house setting some ground rules pronto.

Poor DH would get out of the hospital in a bout a week. If boys will be boys, then women will be

I would invite him over more often.... let him see how a real family lives. Help him to learn rules, politeness, consideration for others etc. Sure, it won't be easy but obviously he sees that your house has what his is lacking. It's not your "responsibility" but it could sure make a world of difference in his life

Sorry about the glass.
