I picked up some more "dog sitters"

Every Tuesday morning after I drop DS off at school I swing my local abbatoir.
For a mere $2 I can get a huge bag of fresh bones. I throw them on a roasting pan and give a an hour in a low oven and I have "dog sitters".
Orbit the rescue pup is around 4 months old now and just full of bad ideas..
like pulling laundry down, chasing chickens, chewing up everything that isn't hung 5 feet high.. a dog sitter is just the ticket to keep him occupied and out of trouble. I love my slaughter house guys!

We get chunks of meat bones from the local butcher. They get tossed in the freezer, and I'll pull one out and toss to the dog (she stays outdoors, but gets to spend hours out of her kennel each day).

We call them "dogsicles" and she'll chew on one of hours. Bad part is picking them out of the yard before I mow. But that is better than the dead "whatever" she drags home!

We live on 40 acres, and she seems to find anything dead no matter where it is. With winter ending, there are usually lots this time of the year - Yuck!!!
