While many are struggling financially, this might help put things into perspective.

I have a loving supportive husband with similar goals as mine -
2 healthy daughters growing like weeds -
A roof over our heads & a little bit of money saved.
I am deliriously rich.

The site says
You're in the TOP 3.17% richest people in the world!

Here's another interesting factoid from the site

DID YOU KNOW..?

Microsoft CEO Bill Gates has more wealth than the bottom 45 percent of American households combined.

I put my income, not my "this is how much I keep"!

Time to crank the charity giving up yet another notch I'd say. It really IS amazing to think about what people live on around the world (and some here).

I thought this was very eye-opening. So often we focus on what we don't have instead of what we do have. And most of us in this country have an abundance.

Sure, the majority of the folks in this country -- even those who are considered "poor" -- have an abundance of things.

But we also have expenses that many other countries don't have, so while the list is interesting, it is a wee bit skewed.

Still, we should be thankful for what we have, and I am. Nick and I do our best to steward our gifts properly, to share with others, and to make a difference. That's not all about economics.

I'm one of those really rich people too - a wonderful husband, four great kids, the farm of our dreams, our health, our parents are still alive, enough friends, plenty to eat, a loving God, and enough material things to enjoy life a little. A decent income is nice, but not important in the whole picture. We give a lot to charity and our church, but obviously could do more.

Great website, thanks for posting it!

Its very easy to forget that if we have a roof over our head, food on the table, and clothes on our back, we are much better off than a lot of people.

For those who find this hard to believe, I would strongly recommend a vacation outside of the U.S. to anywhere outside of Europe, to get a grasp of how poor the world is.

I was reading today, that a 50 lb bag of rice in haiti is 51 US dollars, if you recall, Haiti is where folks were eating dirt cookies.

Wow! If that's so why is my wallet always empty? I guess we are spoiled here in the good old USA. I agree with seedspreader - most of the world's population are in dire straits. With the way commodity prices are rising it is time to really prepare for the worst!
